My Initial Thoughts:

Not gonna lie, I was very hesitant when I received this as an ARC. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it! I typically don't read novel based around Dom/Sub relationships, but I found it quite intriguing.

Characters ~ A

Kenzie Hart has been a submissive at Club Sin for 4 years. She needs the pain to make her forget her painful past. The pain fogs her head, just they way she likes it. But when she is assigned to the Dom, Porter, he frustrates her like no other. She cannot get the pain she needs in order to keep her brain fogged. He is the only Dom who seems to be able to make her submit. His presence brings up her past and rocks her to the core. What I loved most about her was that she does not fit the characteristics of a typical submissive. She is strong, fierce, and confident.

Porter Marshall is a Dom at Club Sin. He wants to be a Master, to be looked up to by all at the club. Now the only thing standing in his way is to tame the brat submissive who gives all the other dominants difficulty. He knew he had to treat her differently than the other Doms treated her; he just did not know she would treat him differently.

Writing ~ B

I actually like the dual POV. I loved being inside Porter's head! Sometimes you are dying to know what the guy is thinking, ya know? When it came to the whole Dom/Sub relationship, I thought it was going to be a lot more kinky, but it was not bad! The kinkiest parts were at the very beginning and very end. It was interesting to be inside Kenzie's head, and to understand why she needs to feel pain. Overall, I liked being introduced to the Club Sin dungeon (yes they call it that) and experiencing the Dom/Sub relationship without too much caning and whipping and such. The kinky stuff was not over done.
