Reckless (Forever, #6)

by Priscilla West

Cover #1
Cover #2

*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.*

This is the first in the series, but 6th in Ms. West Forever series in which all women are connected slightly in some way.

Recommended for: Readers who like the romance rather than erotic scenes in a novel (if you like the build up to the big moment with sexy seduction). Also, this is for fans of Forbidden Surrender by Priscilla West (Kristen's roommate, Riley, is the main character in this book!)

Cover ~ D

I do not like either of the covers. I felt that neither cover captured the essence of Jax.  The way I pictured him was a combination of both these covers, plus a lot of imagination.  Cover #1 is way too buff, and Cover #2 is too rocker (and frankly not very attractive). This is why I HATE people on covers, especially faces.

Plot ~ A+

Let me set the scene (spoiler ahead): Riley goes to a bar where a band has a pop up concert, She pushes her way to the front of the crazy mosh pit crowd to see a glimpse of this sexy as fuck singing voice. The guy can make a girl orgasm with just his voice (hot daaaamn). Then he makes eye contact with Riley. At the end of the show, he jumps off the stage.  Swaggers to Riley and whispers "Backstage. Twenty minutes." Now Riley is not one to turn down a good orgasm because this guy looks like he could give her the best fuck of her life. She goes backstage only to be compared to some bimbo twins. In the end he chooses her, but only for a kiss (and maybe a little hand job). Paybacks a bitch Stud.  She gives him mind-blowing kiss, and leaves him with blue balls (HA this is one reason why I loved this book so much). Then Riley learns she is going to be a tour accountant for an up-and-coming band. I wonder whose band it will be....

Characters ~ A+

Riley is just an average accountant, but she has a wild side.  I loved her in Forbidden Surrender (Vincent and Kristen's story). So when I saw she had her own book, I was so excited! She is such a spitfire.

Jax is the definition of sex.  OMG he is HOT.  Rock God.  Heck he can give a girl an orgasm with just his voice.  One of my new favorite male characters ever.

Writing ~ A+

I have learned to love Priscilla West's writing.  It is more romance than erotica, but the love scenes are still descriptive (which plain romance novels leave you hanging).  There are not very many sex scenes.  I find this kind of erotic writing more tasteful.  Hey, I am not one to complain, but I prefer the build up to the big moment.  I want the guy to work for it! I am not a huge fan of bdsm and sex scenes every chapter.  I freakin love Riley too.  There were points in this book that made me laugh out loud. This book has an awesome combination of seduction, humor, and adventure. Love!

PS. I thought it got a bit dull after they had sex, but it is still worth the read! I did read the next novel.

Overall Rating ~ 4 stars
